The ones I know of all block the LC PDS slot, which removes any chance of adding Ethernet that way, but you could always to SCSI-to-Ethernet. Both the Presto Plus and PPC upgrade are ridiculously overpriced for their performance; you could buy a beige G3 for what the PPC costs, and unless you get the Presto Plus used, you're well on your way to a beige G3 with the cost of the Presto Plus as well.
