This may sound kind of crazy, but try pulling all the RAM out and put it back
in. Then try booting again. The only reason I mention this is that I recently
had a G3 that I had pulled RAM out of at the office so I could try it in something
else. After my testing, I put the RAM back in and turned it on. Weird things
happened, then a black screen. I left it on for a minute cause I was in the
middle of something. Then, it started making these weird noises - almost
like breaking glass. It stopped, then another weird noise after another minute
or less. At that point, I jumped up and turned it off before something bad
happened. I pulled the RAM out, put it back in, then turned it on. All is
well. I thought I had put it back in fine, but it must have been just a little
off in the way it seated into the slot. Hope something, if not this, works
for you.

Peace,
Todd
