Been playing a with my Mystic a bit recently. Tonight I turned it on and let it sit idle for a few minutes while I took care of something else (ok, I was watching TV.)
Then I heard floppy drive go into action (no disc was in there) and an alert signal. All the menu bar items greyed out and I couldn't do anything, so I restarted the machine (or I force-quit the Finder, I forget.) Now when I try to insert a floppy, the drive runs a bit then spits it back out saying it couldn't be formatted since it's locked. At no point did I issue an initialize command, all I did was insert a disc. Tried trashing prefs, zapping PRAM, nothing. what gives? -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
