Yep, I love my FX. Got it at a thrift store for 50 cents, checked it out and all it needed was to have its ROM card, memory, and logic board power supply connectors cleaned with a pencil eraser. Took me a while to figure it out, but once I did that, she booted right up like the champ she is! My first Mac (got her last spring), and I use her all the time still!
Apple knows how computers should be built (for the most part) ! And their operating systems are just about the best in the world, problems and lies included. Apple lies much less than Microsoft, and their lies are much less serious! My IIFX: 8 MB RAM (Want much more, but can't find any) 250 MB Apple Quantum HD (got it 3 weeks ago after the original 80 MB ate itself, finally) Asante 10BaseT NIC E-Machines video card W/ Apple Multiple Scan 15 600i External CD-ROM (w/ the elusive black terminator!) I'll bet that this thing will still be running strong until 2010 at least, and it will STILL be useful as well. I'm the envy of all my Mac friends... all of them want my IIFX, but they can't have it! -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
