After several months of monkeying around with makeshift methods of getting
my IIg to pick up UPS labels and envelopes, I finally bit the bullet and
bought fixyourownprinter's repair kit. With shipping, about 36 bucks. It
ships with a video, which I watched once, then watched again while doing the
repair. In 30 minutes I had a fine working printer. One look at the roller
that came out showed why it could not get the job done. It was toast. My
advice: Buy the kit and fix your pickup assembly.
