I have the most recent copy of Jeff Gordon's version of Apple Spec Database. Apple offered the IIc & IIc Plus between April 1984 & November 1990, but to my limited knowledge their first production use of LCD was on the Macintosh Portable in September or 1989 and then the PB100 in October of 1991. The output from the computer is different for LCD and video, and that may be what that little box is behind the display. If it is real it must be a prototype that got scratched. If I were to buy such an item, it would have to be up close and hands on. The dealer does have a good rating, but deals in mostly PC stuff.
