I recently installed a 32mb EDO simm in my LC III. So far I see no ill effects, but am wondering whether this is indeed ok? I understand some models are not to use EDO?
Also, I read that Apple urges users to use "noncomposite" ram. So far I have found out only that this is an Apple term and the right ones usually have less memory banks than composite ram of the same size. Any further ideas on how to tell one from the other, or whether it really matters? The simm I have installed is 32mb, EDO, and has 8 banks on each side of the stick. Does this sound like it's acceptable? Thanks for any clarification to this. bill __ [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
