I'm sure mine is a plain Color OneScanner. I found a pdf of the scanner manuals via Gamba's site, and note that the case shape is different to the latter models.

BTW I'd just like to thank Gamba for having SUCH a useful site! Can't count the number of times I've found what I needed there.

I also found Ofoto on the site:

http://pages.britishlibrary.net/linusrees/mac/soft.html

With this I managed to get a color scan! Everything seems to work fine - not bad for $5 :-)

So the only thing is I can't find a plug-in for SuperPaint 3.0 that works with the Color scanner. it comes with one that does greyscale. I guess this s/w predates the color scanners. This is a shame as I was planing on setting up to use this s/w with a Wacom ArtzII tablet and being able to import a scan directly would have been great.

I did manage to scan with Ofoto, save as .eps, then open in SuperPaint but would have been nice to import a scan directly.

Trying to set up a "vintage" graphics workstation :-)

Does anybody know if a latter version of SuperPaint could handle color scans?

Gregg can you email me those floppy images for my scanner?

thanks for all the help,

John

I assume that some s/w came with the scanner anybody
know what it shipped with?

If nobody else offers it up, I do happen to have an Apple "legacy" CD from May 1999 which has most everything on the (formerly FTP) Apple download site plus some stuff NOT on there like the full floppy images for the various Apple scanners.

Is yours the Apple Color OneScanner, the Apple Color
OneScanner 600/27, or the Apple Color OneScanner
1200/30? Check the back and bottom to see if it has
the 600/27 or 1200/30 on it anywhere. Scanner 3.0
is for the Color OneScanner and also works with the
two earlier greyscale scanners under System 7.
