They both have their ups and downs. LCIII is 25 or 33mhz 68030 to the IIsi's 20mhz. There are somewhat more interesting expansion options for a IIsi, and a higher memory capacity. All up to what you need.

The LCIII is faster (25 or 33MHz) and more compact, takes one 72-pin SIMM (up to 32MB, making 36MB in total) and is a piece of cake to work in/on. The PDS Slot isn't great for expansion (unless you want a NIC) and there are no easy CPU upgrades short of swapping the board for an LC475 logic board, which in turn can be upgraded to a 50MHz 601.

The IIsi is only 20MHz, it's a bigger case, and is an older design that was deliberately heeled to stop it competing with the IIci. It takes 30-pin SIMMs (only 4) giving it a (realistic) RAM ceiling of 16MB, or 64MB if you are REALLY lucky (I might just be a sore loser because 8 and 16MB 30-pins are like rocking horse crap in the UK!!).

Multiscan 15 ought to work by just plugging it in. I don't think the IIsi needs any fiddy adapters to work with it.

Another thing with Mac II machines is they use Sync-on-Green video signals. A NuBus card would fix it but then at the same time you lose the PDS slot...
