Which is the superior machine, a IIsi or an LCIII?

They are about a toss up.

Both can take the same harddisks.

ADB, serial and SCSI ports are the same.

The LCIII has more versatile video, up to 832x624. And it's VRAM can be upgraded. The IIsi is limited to 640x480 with internal video

Both can take an Ethernet Card and a few other things in their respective expansion slots. Most Ethernet cards for the IIsi have a pass through slot so you can plug in another PDS card.

The LCIII can be upgraded with a 32Mb 72 pin SIMM to 36Mb total. With four 16Mb 30 pin SIMMs the IIsi can be upgraded to 65Mb. I'm not sure now how the price compares but I think the LCIII's upgrade would be quite a bit cheaper.

The LCIII uses less power so if you want to set it up as a server that is a consideration.

How do I get an Apple Multiple Scan 15 to work with a IIsi?

Simple answer is you can't, not directly. There is an adapter that's supposed to do it but at this point it would be cheaper to either get a monitor that works directly with the IIsi's sync-on-green video or a computer that works with the MS15.
