Both are 10/100 so that's one good reason, but still doesn�t really explain why it wasn�t in the appletalk control panel. It's SCSI to RJ-45 (10 Base-T), and he's tried it on all his Macs and my Quadra 840AV which is running Mac OS 8.0 - The extension is dated 1993 so It's pretty old. I'd imagine 8.0 is more than acceptable if not a little too new. Not sure which version of the software.
