Thats possible, although this monitor has made this noise for over two 
years.  Could the arcing be caused from something else, like a loose 
screw thats shorting something out?

I have a Radius Pivot monitor, model number 0361, that makes a funny
noise when it is on.  It's almost like a car engine when idling,

instead of an engine rumble, it is a series of "magnetic clicks" 
(sorry
for the horrible description of this, but i have no better explanation
of the sound)

Any thoughts?
