I had a IIcx I washed under tap water with detergent (and yes it ended up working in the end). I dried it over a few hours with a hairdryer, but I -was- quite desperate to get it up and working. However, the big problem is water will stay for AGES in the nubus slots and underneath the large surface mount chips. I wouldn't be surprised if leaving it in a cool spot for several days left those bits still wet. If you can get to compressed air, blowing it out from under all the places that it can hide (simm slots too, and connectors) it'll help things along marvellously :)
