Can anyone tell me whether an Ethernet card for an LC-slot will work on
any LC-series machine? And also the Performa 400-series, and the Quadra

tell you that the cards (Farallon EtherWave and Dayna E/LC-T) only cover
the larger portion of the slot, so I'm assuming they are plain LC-slot
types, not the "enhanced" type for the later models.

And for bonus points: Does anyone have or know where to get the drivers
for the Farallon card? It seems to work with the Apple driver in System
7.5, but I don't know how it would fare with other versions, or whether
the Apple driver is optimal for this card.

AFAIK all LC Ethernet cards work with the Apple driver as they all have basically the same hardware.

Some cards made for the original LC or LC II won't work in later models. They will function up to a point. Specifically the LC Ethernet card I was using would let me select it and it would see the zones but when I closed the AT control panel it would crash.

Most LC PDS cards only fit the original connector.

With the above exception concerning some cards and the LC / LC II it doesn't much matter which machine you use.
