I agree with both, but the IIci is my choice for vintage Macs.  I've got 6
of the critters now -- I love them!  Of the vintage Macs, they seem to
have the best expandability (sure, they don't have 6 slots, but you have
onboard video; they don't need strange RAM like the II, IIx, or IIfx; and
the PDS gives you a lot of upgrade options), and an easy case to work with
(one screw to strip the whole computer), a nice form factor, and
reasonable power consumption.
        I have to admit, though, I'd probably take my Performa 640CD if I
could have any 68k Mac.  I love that machine...
