A Swedish WWII Air Force veteran was addressing a gathering of former American pilots and their families, describing a dog fight with "....German f-----s all around us. "The f-----s were everywhere."
An uneasy Master of Ceremonies stood up and explained to the uneasy audience that they were probably misunderstanding their foreign guest, and that he was no doubt referring to the German "Fokker" model fighter plane.
"Oh, no" said the Swede, "these f-----s were Messerschmidts!"
