Got a NEC Multisync 3V, hooked up to my Sega Dreamcast (I'll make it relevant to the list in a sentence or two.) Just powered it on for the first time in a few months...getting no picture. Getting audio, so the DC works, but no picture.
So I pulled out my LC and monitor adaptor. Still getting no picture. I'm not 100% sure if I have the adaptor set correctly, though I've only used it with the LC and a Performa467. And I figure if not I should at least get a scrambled picture, but still nothing. However I do hear the circuitry in the monitor clicking & such when switching resolution, but as noted, no picture, not even a blurry mess. So I'm guessing it's dead, right? And yes, I checked the brightness controls, so nobody's trying to play li'l tricks on me. :) Mixed feelings, kinda been wanting to get rid of the monitor for some time. But it was one of the few bits of hardware I actually bought brand new, at full price, so I wanted to squeeze much life out of it as possible. Didn't just want to just dump it while it was still alive. -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
