My AudioVision does things similar to this frequently.
1) plug all ADB devices right into the mac, or try this for awhile, it may help
2) turn up the brightness or contrast, some of these get reset every so often, especially when switching power sources often.
3) does the green power light every turn off? or is that part consistently on?

I have an AudioVision 14 that is hooked up to my Mac IIsi, and it has been working consistently for over 2 years. When I went to use the IIsi today, the power light for the monitor came on, and I heard the speakers come in, but I got no image on the screen. I tried the monitor on an LC III and got the same black screen as a result. When the monitor was plugged into the monitor power outlet on the IIsi, and I turned the monitor off and turned it back on, I got a flicker of the image I was supposed to be getting that disappeared in less than a second. When I plugged the monitor into a wall outlet, this didn't happen. Is there anything in particular that's likely to have caused this?
