they were for machines that could run on OS6 and for
applications that would not run on OS 7. If the OS is
on the disk it was intended for the earlier macs that
did not have a hard drive and had to boot from floppy.
If you have a machine that will run OS6, select the
floppy for startup or install OS6 on a separate
partion to start up from other than the floppy.
families of Machines that will run OS6 are:
Classic II and earlier, Performa 200
IIsi and earlier
LC, LC II, Performa 400-430
Portable, PBII
Copy II Mac was a neat set of applications to allow
one to conveniently overcome most of the early
protection schemes, sorta like "Carbon Copy Cloner"
but much more complicated.
Anybody want some of the old reference hardcopy and/or
sofware such as "WordPerfect{" v.5.1 and earlier?
....Mostly in near excellent condition.
I may be even talked into parting w/ a Plus or souped
up SE30 if my arm gets twisted enough.
