I probably should have been clearer ...

"Worked perfectly" = powered up and self-diagnosed its faulty network port in accordance to support docs on Intel's web site. It noted both a "network error" and a "network chip error." I took it apart and could not find any faulty solder joints. The network chip actually sits down in a socket and I pushed on it some to make sure it was seated well.

If all else fails, I have an LC 475 that will run LaserWriter Bridge just swell. I got my $18 bucks back from RadioShack today.

Thanks for the input.

it could easily be the adapter. the etherprint may require a wall wart that is
filtered/regulated (which some adapters are but not the cheaper ones) and the radioshack
unit may not be either. that seems more likely than a bad network port unless the
connector is dirty or has a bad solder joint. in any case, definitely return the radio
shack adapter. i've never had an etherprint and haven't looked at one for a while so i
really can't be sure about that. i'm assuming that since you say "it worked perfectly"
that the etherprint did something? it's possible that some if it might still work but not
the network port if the power supply wasn't what it wanted since the logic part of it
doubtless has it's own 5v regulator and possibly some filtering or enough filtering to
skid by. just a thought before you trash the etherprint.

Bryan,

A belated thank-you for the specs. The specs were spot on. I picked up
an adapter at RadioShack that worked perfectly. Unfortunately ... my
EtherPrint seems to have a bad network port, so it does not work. The
adapter is going back to RadioShack tomorrow.
