You're the one deciding what size your windows have! This applies as well to the fonts used and their size! From this point of view, I can't see any problem. I've used Claris Emailer from Mac Os 7.5 to 9.2.2, on boxes from IIfx to G4/1000 (DA), and, in my personal taste, it's still the best mail-app I ever came across.
