Yeah, we all have over 100 machines on a lan and cant use a tcp control panel to check. They will remind you if another machine is already using that address.


Macs work better with a static address. No ifs, buts or maybe's but if you dont mind the wait... a long one if the routers down or off or you move the mac... then dhcp is for you.
