Hi Folks
Can anyone tell me the correct procedure to prepare an aftermarket HD and install it in a Mac for system 7.X? It is a 6GB aftermarket and I want to install it in a IIci and I am not having much luck with it and I suspect I am missing some small, key step.
Suggestions for available formatting utilities, methods etc.??
Any help would be most appreciated.
Is it a SCSI drive? I ask because there isn't a lot of SCSI drives with 50 pin interfaces that are over 4Gb.
Set the SCSI ID to 0. To format it I prefer the patched version of SCSI Setup. This is Apple's SCSI Setup with a patch applied that makes it work with most SCSI drives. Check out:
