I almost hate to say it, but it seems that every six months or so, a
brave soul comments that he would like to attempt to program a web
browser for System 6, and then, once the person realizes the enormity
of the project, it is never heard from again... [sigh]
I'm not saying that there aren't some talented programmers out there;
just that there isn't much real demand for the product, balanced with
the time it would take to do it.
In fact, out of all the people who've said they were going to do some
programming for System 6, I don't think we've EVER seen anything in the
last couple of years! Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, please.

I'd be really happy to see Lynx ported to Systems 6 and/or 7.5 It is
very fast compared to the others. It isn't as complex as Mosaic/Netscape
Gold/iCab. Netscape and iCab work ok as could be expected, slow as
slugs, with javascript errors. Lynx would be delightful. Images could be
rendered by one of the little viewers available, so don't have to give
that up. Same with sound. Lynx works on the various windows versions, so
perhaps it could be compiled on mac..
