As you know, the IIcx (at least the one I have) has a 16Mhz processor, a 40MG hard drive and 286 RAM. Seems to me those limitations would still be suitable for a simple security cam. I know it wouldn't be able to store much, but for basic live feed I would think it's doable.
Does anyone have any experience with that sort of thing?

I'm afraid a 25MHz 68030 iici doesn't have the horsepower for mp3 playing. I have read that an mp3 player is available for the 68040, but even that runs at a lower quality.
I like the IIci's ability to run OS 6. You get a snappy response. Then use it to do email, play old games :-)
