The only practical use I would be interested to explore with my IIcx, if it's possible, is as a home security monitor. Can an external cam be wired into it that would display on the monitor, even if fairly low res?

As you know, the IIcx (at least the one I have) has a 16Mhz processor, a 40MG hard drive and 286 RAM. Seems to me those limitations would still be suitable for a simple security cam. I know it wouldn't be able to store much, but for basic live feed I would think it's doable.

Does anyone have any experience with that sort of thing?

Can I configure it to be "the" print server over TCP/IP? Does anyone has further update on the "IIci as a mp3 player" idea? ;)

I'm afraid a 25MHz 68030 iici doesn't have the horsepower for mp3 playing. I have read that an mp3 player is available for the 68040, but even that runs at a lower quality.

I like the IIci's ability to run OS 6. You get a snappy response. Then use it to do email, play old games :-)
