The Mac Plus must have the Zip disk formatted with version 4.2 of the Iomega driver in order to boot from it. I dunno about the SE, SE/30 or other Macs with "dirty" ROMs. For any Mac that must have the older driver on the Zip disk to boot from, you must NEVER insert the Zip disk into a drive connected to a Mac running a newer version of the Iomega Zip Tools! It will "helpfully" update the driver on the disk and you can't get the older driver back without reformatting the disk using the older Zip Tools. It will be total Fandemonium!
