Applied Engineering? That made a BIG bell rang inside me... I have a IIci with a dead PSU, but it has an expansion card called TransWarp CI-50. I did some research, and I found out that TransWarp was related to Applied Engineering.
Can anyone tell me how much would that card accelerate? I wanted to know if it worth the effort of ordering a PSU from EBay. (the only problem is that I don't know what to find - my dead one is a Astec Model No. AA15831) - can anyone tell me if I could replace it with a Quadra 610 one? I believe the IIci will take a IIcx or Quadra 700 PSU. . . I used to frequent the Goodwill Computer Works when I was going to school in Austin, TX. I grabbed a whole lot of inexpensive stuff there. The reason they don't let you dig in the crates anymore is because they put the mac stuff on Ebay now. They hold tons of auctions with old macs, trying to sell a bunch at a time. Shame too, it was fun swinging by that place and finding a radius rocket, or the exact nubus card I'd been looking for, for a long time. . . There isn't any place like that here in VA that I'm aware of :-( Jeff Grant -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
