...And there's a PowerBook (Not sure which model) that saves the world in "Independence Day"

Things have been getting a bit heavy on here of recent so I thought I'd lighten things up with this little observation:

I recently bought the Matrix Ultimate Box Set (10 DVDs). It features a lot of behind the scenes footage of the making and filming of the trilogy as well as extensive additional materials. If anyone here is into the films buy it it's well worth it even if you already own the DVDs.

My observation is thus. The Matrix Reloaded Revisited DVD contains all the behind the scenes documentary about the making of Reloaded. I the last part of the last section there is a part all about the filming of the scene where Neo meets the architect. On the video wall in the background there was lots of imagery, first of 20th century history, then of the fake life of Thomas Anderson. They showed a few clips of the footage of the fake life that they made, consisting of a young Thomas Anderson playing and with his so-called family etc. It was among these shots I spotted a real gem. One of the shots is of a young Thomas Anderson with an Macintosh LC in bits all over a bench, logic board, disk drives etc., clipping the floppy drive back onto the bottom half of the case. It just warmed my heart a bit (being an LC nut as I am) and also affirmed that my favorite 68k Mac has a place (albeit a very minor one) in cult movie history.

So there ya go...
