I have a DaynaFile, which is a SCSI device with Mac drivers and which
consists of one 5.25" drive and one 3.5" drive. The 5.25" can read
DOS 360K floppies and Apple ][ floppies. The 3.5" would read DOS 720
and Mac or DOS 1.4 MB diskettes but had pretty much stopped working
as of the last time I had it on my SCSI chain.
I believe I made use of it under MacOS 9, and if not then at least
under 8.6. Backwards compatible to far more ancient operating
systems, such as System 6.
What it DOESN'T have, any more, is the AC line in / powerbrick. It
was a weird and massive thing, with a 5 or 6 pin connector that
looked more like a PC mouse cable plug than a power-in plug. To make
use of it, a person would have to backwards-engineer a power
connection, not to mention figuring out the voltage stepdown & etc.
Anyone wanting it needs to speak up real fast. I'm in the process of
moving and it's on the stay-behing-and-get-trashcanned pile.
