There were plenty of problems with the 7.5.x series.
Several Mac software and hardware companies quit Mac
support
during that time because Apple's changes kept breaking
things.

There are several NuBus videocards that either don't
work right
at all, or have limited functionality, in 7.5.2 or
7.5.3.
The companies had designed and tested for and with
7.5, then
had to do updates for 7.5.1 and again for 7.5.2 so
when they
would've had to do more work to make their products
work with
7.5.3 they figured Apple was going to keep doing the
same
for who knew how many 7.5.x updates and threw in the
towel.

Finding what Apple had changed and how and why it made
some
3rd party software and hardware not work took time
away from
new development and upgrading/enhancing existing
products.

IIRC, there's no 7.5.4, but there was a patch to 7.5.3
before
7.5.5 was released.

Then Apple got the message that their string of
creating new
problems while attempting to patch old bugs was
costing them
3rd party support. The result was 7.6, a very good Mac
OS version,
but a bit bloated for an 030, and the best optimized
yet for
Power Macs.

It will be total Fandemonium!
