Tim,
 How do you figure that the pressurized system will 'save energy' over a
conventional pump outfit? Or are you planning on pressurizing only with
gas station air?

A regular water pump runs so little (under 20 minutes/day, I'd guess)
that its energy use can almost be ignored.
