And apply after on both ends after crimping... or an easier more permanent way is to before you crimp slip on a pc. of adhesive lined heat shrink...Crimp your connector, slide the heat shrink down over the plastic part of the connector and heat it. It will seal the wire end of the connector and use the grease to do the lug or socket end connection.
