When installing steel lights or aluminum lights to the aluminum shell of
the Airstream we should be careful to use only stainless steel or
aluminum screws. Any plain steel or plated steel will cause a lot of
corrosion and loose the ground connection. In aluminum radio antennas
assembled with stainless steel screws there is a little corrosion
against the aluminum, but not nearly as much as with cadmium or zinc
plated hardware against aluminum.
