RJ and Krista, Can't wait for the pictures. It's funny about neighbors, especially the dumb ones. Many ignorant people that know very little about RV'ing and even less about Airstreams, seem to think that those old gray oxidized trailers are just junkers from the old timey trailer parks, worth just a few hundred dollars. When you polish your Airstream, and detail it , with new tires and bright wheels, .......suddenly, it takes on the appearance of a bright and shiney, Jet Fighter, or a shiney P-51 right out of a movie. Then every thing clicks, and the neighbors think you have something ,........"New". You know what they say,..........."Appearances are everything." Bill
Just finishing up the Rolite AP300 polish coat on our '65 Caravel. In the eyes and words of our neighbors, we have gone from the "the crazy Dial's and their old ugly trailer" to "the Dial's and their great looking restored camp trailer!" They all want one now. Even though the interior and internals were fully restored, until the exterior lost it's gray elephant skin, it was considered an eyesore by the community - go figure.... I guess I am even impressed by the transformation. Website pictures and story to follow. Right now we are getting ready to spend the rest of the summer camping... RJ & Krista '65 Caravel (shiny, as alclad aluminum was meant to be) Merry Watson wrote: > > Wow! That's a shiney Bubble. My question is : Why do we want them so > shiney?
