Polyester resin is not a good sealer on wood if it gets wet it will flake off 
epoxy resin will penitrate the wooh somewhat and therefore is an excellent 
waterprofer it will not stand up to ultervilate rays so if exposed to 
sunlight other than temperarly it should be painted.
