Randy,.............Its been done before. Check out some Baja Calif Real Estate. Some homes have the Airstream inside and all the other rooms are around it. Many of the Airsteams in the Airstream Parks in Florida have a home with a large attached car port, and the A/S is used as an integral part of the home. A shell in the mountains with the A/s attached would be a great idea, and then in the fall, you could button up the shell, and pull the coach down to the lower valleys for continued use in the winter. Your wife probably thinks I'm crazy also, and she is partially correct. Let us know when you start building. I proposed to my wife the other night that we build a shell building in the mountains with a living room/kitchen and fireplace surrounded with vintage a/s as bedrooms within. She looked at me like I was crazy. Bill how's this practical idea sound?
