Wait there might be a Plan C:
  In the archives there was mention of perhaps taking off the top of the
electric jack and using elbow grease to move it. 

Anyone know more ? what kind of crank do I need ?

I could use another mecanical jack to get it hooked up, but the leg is
too far down and will likley scrape on the road.
