RJ, we're counting on you to post those pics on your web site before you leave for Oregon. On the lack of space in your wheelwells. The Henschen people say the Dura Torque axle with it rubber billets in that square torque tube, have a tendency to settle after about 20 years. You may be getting to the point of "re-build". During the rebuild, didn't you remove the a/c, and lighten the load in other ways? Bill Scott 61 Bambi, VAC & WBCCI #3221 1VP & Membership Chairman , WDCU http://www.servintfree.net/wbcci-dc/
You weren't in a yellow VW Bug by chance, were you? With only 1/4" clearance in the wheelwells with new tires installed, I was taking it down rough Stanley Blvd fully loaded at 60mph to see if I could get them to scrape (again). I'll save that story for later.... Thanks for the complement - the Caravel didn't even have her hubcaps on. It makes the last 9 months worth it. Leaving this week for a week in Oregon with it, I'll throw some pic's on the 'net before we go. The info for the Olema rally is near the bottom of the VAS home page. Here are the details: http://www.airstream.net/VAC_CA_FALL/CA_FALL.html May try to make that rally, too.
