Elisa, have you checked all the other possiable causes? There has been an
ongoing discussion for the last couple of days on this subject mentioning
several problem areas one of which was the over filling of freon by "service
men" who assume it needs more freon. The condition you describe could be low
freon but usually when you have low freon it at first blows very cold untill
ice freezes over the coil and restricts air flow. If it never blows cold it
could be almost no freon or too much, either way it won't work. If there are
no aftermarket valves added to your freon lines too much freon would not be
the cause. Some one needs to check the high pressure outlet of the
compressor to see if it gets hot, it should, the low side inlet should be
very cool maybe even have a few ice crystals on it. In any case no one can
tell for sure without doing some serious looking at the unit.
