Elisa, the coil is a bank of very thin sheet metal "fins" through which pass the actual "coil" which is a metal tube. Usually the tube serpintines back and forth thruogh the fins. The fins are delicate and can be mashed together with your finger blocking air flow, so don't be too rough on them if cleaning. Phil ----Original Message Follows---- OK, it's an Armstrong 10 AC.
