Heikki, Unscrew the knob - you may need to pull it all the way out first. Then remove the nut - AKA an escutcheon - by using a "Dash Nut Removal Tool" similar to the one shown in the Karmann Ghia Parts & Restoration catalog.

Using needlenose pliers will scratch and/or destroy the nut. :o) Larry in Scottsdale, AZ "Always Learning" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Heikki" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2007 8:08 AM Subject: [vintagvw] Wiper switch Hi, friends! We have a ´63 Bug. Wiper switch is completely stuck, it doesn´t move at all. Do you have any ideas why that happened? As far as I understand, I have to replace the switch. But here comes another problem. I haven´t that job before and I am not able to remove the old switch, Anyone able to give some instructions how to do that? Thanks for all the help ( Ireally need it...).
