Bert,

I think it would be worthwhile to look for a complete glovebox door at a junkyard which has a good sticker.

I do have such a door in my stash somewhere but I have no idea which model it came off. Will try to snap a pic and pmail. Oh sorry I just re read your post....you want one in German language......Mine would most probably be the USA model one. Anyway Ill check and let you know.

Subject: [vintagvw] Label for tire pressures, weights, etc.
Date: Sat, 4 Aug 2007 20:46:14 -0500

Volks,

I'm trying to find a copy/sample/replica of the silver label used inside the
glove box door of a 1970 beetle -- in Germany.

The USA 1970 models had a sticker with tire inflation specs, max. weight,
etc., printed to meet American FMVSS safety requirements. In Germany, there
was a similar German label that met their KfzZO requirements, with stuff on
it like Reifendruck, zulässiger Nutzlast, and such. I want to fabricate a
replica of it.

Does anybody have a German 1970 model that still has the original
German-language tire inflation label inside the glove compartment? Ideally,
I'd like a close-up picture, but even a hand sketch will do.
