That knob looks like it's from a later Type II or III.
Should use a bulb physically like this one (I don't
recall the "correct" wattage):

A lot of late-model US cars are using miniature bulbs
like these now for dash illumination, etc...a good
auto parts store should be able to fix you up with
something locally.

IIRC, the federal requirement that the hazard-flasher
control be illuminated came along in `73, so switches
made for those and later cars had a 58b terminal for
connecting into the speedo illumination circuit. Older
switches did not have this feature.
