Good Day all,

My '65 convertible is missing the equipment to hold the rear
seat back from falling forward (can't keep it in the upright position).
After some investigation, I've found out that the early 60's beetles
(up to '67) used a rubber strap and hook to hold the rear seat back.
Interestingly enough the convertibles used a different hook than
the sedans.

My questions is "How does the rubber strap, bracket, and screw
attach to the seat back? Are they attached to the metal frame of the
rear seat back? I understand that the hook mounts to the rear
wheel well area. I've found the necessary replacement parts at
Bughaus.com, but would like to know where to mount the strap.

Thanks,
Brian
