1. What tires, in addition to 165SR15 can I run on stock
4.5"wide 15" wheels? (I want to put some inexpensive tires
on rims I have for winter use) Can I use some 185/65/15?
2. Cyl 3 and 4 are running great, nice tan plugs. Cyls 1
and 2 are a bit too black, running a tad rich. I'm
running a single 30-31-pict but have no heat-riser set up.
I checked for intake leaks, with a can of starter fluid.
Could my valves be set wrong cause this? I set the lash on
3&4 but haven't gotten to 1&2 yet, I have to take off my
hide-a-way muffler to do it. Could my compu-fire be messed
up so the timing is different side to side? This is the
first time I've every really looked at my plugs so don't
know if this has always been a problem. I have been
having trouble keeping the thing idling but I think this is
due to my carb, which shouldn't affect one side more than
the other. I have carb cleaner in the fuel tank now to
clear my passages.
Why didn't I realize I'd have to remove my muffler to do a
valve adjustment. What a pain.
