Do the numbers on the side of my choke refer to the degree in which it shuts off? Also, the car will not idle unless the choke is on part-way. Any advice? The choke is full on when I start it but after I pump the trottle it goes to one click away from being off. And it stays there the rest of the day. It is a '72 VW beetle. Lately the weather's been around 55 degrees, if that matters.
