Bert,

Here are the rubber parts. You might also check to see they missed the front
axle body bolts/pads. Wolfsburgwest's body bolt kits don't include the shock
tower or front axle bolts.

Subject: [vintagvw] Body bolt replacements

Volks,

I have just discovered that the shop that replaced my '70's body onto the
chassis after painting, etc., neglected to replace two important body bolts.
They're the ones directly above the rear axles, visible just inboard of the
rear wheels, that connect the chassis dogs with the axle assembly. They
look like they should have rubber spacers there (there is the remains of one
showing).

Who knows what the correct specs are for those two bolts (one on each side)?
The holes look like about M10 and the length looks like it should be about
30 mm. What hardness? How thick should the rubber pads be? (I have some
good rubber gasketing material I could cut some from). All my catalogs only
show body bolts in complete sets, but my friendly local bolt-and-screw
places ought to help.
