I have a72 std. beetle that is in need of a new ignition switch. The problem
exists becuse I think the guts of the switch allow me to remove the key
accidentally without the little chrome button popping out. Once that happens i
can't get the key back in. I end up tapping gently on the cast switch housing
until the button pops out on it's own.

Therefore, after I shut the car off I have to carefully wiggle the key to get
the button to pop out; then i can remove my key.

I'd like to find a NOS switch to replace this one even though I know that I'll
then have two different keys - one for the ignition and one for the doors.

As long as the button pops out; all operates fine but when it doesn't I'm in
trouble.

Any recommended sources. Most of the ones I find for 72-74 Bettles don't look
like mine with the pop out button so I'm not sure they will fit AND lock the
steering column like my OEM does.

Any help would be much appreciated.
