I can definitely recommend the Nissan Altima. My family put almost 270k miles on a 1996 before it was totaled by a woman on a cell phone. The only major work done on it was to replace the engine mounts and CV joints once. Not long before it was totaled, the compression was 155-160 on all cylinders.
