Awww man...all the people that meant something to me in my life are starting to die off. It sucks getting old.
I remember Bob's trip to bring home Gretl, the derelict splitty he flew to pick up and with nothing more than his ingenuity, fixed it and drove it home. :) He also cussed out some ill-prepared people on his trip to the Baja and left them behind with no worry about it. This was all in the late 90s and before the big online web forums. It was quite the adventure reading about his travels on the Type 2 list as well as Charlie Ford's Search for the Beginning of Wind. If you go back through Bob's blog, you can see what an interesting character he was.
